Look what mommy made!

A few months ago, after getting the longies I ordered for Ava, I started thinking I might could do that. I don't knit, but I crochet well enough that I thought I could pull it off. They're certainly not perfect, but they'll fit our needs well enough. And she thought she looked pretty cute in them!

Now, I *might* be motivated to try some more! ;)

Playing at Noni & Dandy's

Last week, the kids & I spent a few days at my parents. I didn't take many pics, but did get some good ones the 1st evening we were there. Ava & Drew love to play outside & it always helps to have fun toys we don't have at home! :)

Why did we get them their own chairs?

They actually do still really love their chairs. But, also find it quite funny to push mommy out of hers!

Halfway there!

Today, we had our 20 week growth sonogram & doctor's appointment. Everything looked great. All the baby's measurements were normal. It was fun to spend 30 minutes watching him/her move around. The baby cooperated very well for the u/s tech. We are NOT finding out the sex of the baby this time around, so we are glad to get past this sonogram without knowing. Now I feel like we might actually make it without finding out! :)

Here's a pic of the baby sucking his/her thumb:

Pool for Ava & Drew

Ava & Drew had lots of fun trying out their new pool today. Although, they both preferred playing from outside of it than in!

Laundry Day

MASSIVE laundry day, that is!
Generally, my laundry schedule is as follows:
diapers every other day (2 loads)
kitchen rags/towels/bibs every other day (1 load)
baby towels every 3 days (1 load)
baby clothes every 4-5 days (1 load)
mom/dad clothes on Sat (1 load)
mom/dad towels,etc on Sat (1-2 loads)
sheets once/week (1 load)

Now it isn't very often that this all happens on the same day. In fact, I can't remember the last time it did. Until TODAY. I realized yesterday that I needed to wash EVERYTHING today...ugh. Of course, I could put it off, but I don't really want to do it on Mother's Day either. So, I did do one load last night after the kiddos were in bed, then started at 6:30 this morning in hopes of having everything but the diapers done by naptime. That way the "fun" of folding can begin!

So, while the babies are napping, I am starting on folding. This is what the living room looks like. You can see 5 loads here.....1 more is in the dryer.....1 more in the washer...and diaper laundry will follow that. NINE loads in one day. I must be crazy! :)

But....................... it beats mowing the yard---which is what Jeremy is busy with! ;)

New chairs

My mom & I have been looking for some time for some kid-size chairs for Ava & Drew. We tried some mini beanbag chairs, but they were NOT what we expected. There were some other ones we liked, but they were a little pricey when buying for 2! I found these adorable mini over-stuffed chairs on a friends blog & she told me where to find them(THANKS, Vanessa)! Ava & Drew absolutely love them. :)

Thanks, Noni, for the chairs!!

Just because she's so cute...

Enjoying our morning coffee ;)

(Don't worry, I finished the coffee before giving it to him!)
